costco versus bj's''
we're thinking of joining one, live close to both. mostly for diapers, wipes, baby stuff. and housewares - papergoods, cleaning supplies. which one is cheaper? which one has better products?

BJ's is way better for baby supplies...BJ's carries Huggies, Pampers, Luvs...Costco only carries their own brand and huggies, if I can remember correctly....bjs has a better selection of formula also. They are pretty much the same in other items.

Prices are decent....I buy my daughters diapers there and I pay about $35 for 174 diapers...def a good price. Bj's also lets you use coupons...You have to know your prices....some things are really good deals, while others are not.

i love b.j.s i dont live that close though..but def better in baby stuff..more variety..plus you can use coupons..which is nice..they have more of produce variety also..so i can get my grocery shopping done as well as the other stuff.

You ladies are talking about the BJs coupons they send to your home, right? You can't use regular coupons there?

No you can use regular coupons too..and they accept credit cards like VISA and MC where as Costco doesnt..

we do not have kids but we belong to bjs and my sil (who belongs to costco) used to have us pick up formula for her because bjs had better prices

I go to BJ's to buy diapers all the time. I usually get formula there as well, but they didnt have Similac powder last time I went. I got a case of size 1 pampers which has about 208 diapers for $30.49 and had $1.50 coupon that I used as well
ETA-they also have an express line which is nice if you are only picking up a few items
