Cough and fever - does this warrant a visit to the ped?

DS has had a bad cough for a couple of days now. He woke up early yesterday and today crying for me Chat Icon because it bothers him so much. He also had a fever of 102 yesterday and ibuprofen brought it down but of course it was up again this morning.

If it was just the fever I would let him ride it out but I don't know if there is anything we can do for the cough (he's 2.5 years old). Plus his sister just started meds for a double ear infection Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon so of course I'm worried about that too.

I say take him to the ped. It can't hurt. Hope he feels better!

If the fever was lower like 100, I would ride it out, but since it's higher I would just bring him in case he has an ear infection too.
