Could use some prayers / advice / whatever you've got...UPDATE
Yesterday DH and I went for what was supposed to be the full pregnancy workup....
The first thing we did was the ultrasound and we were supposed to see the heartbeat. We didn't. The doctor told me that she suspects that the baby got to a certain point and just stopped growing (I'm nauseous writing this). She talked about options like D&C or waiting for my body to cramp, she told me I had a miscarriage.
I immediately went into hysterics. She took me downstairs to the radiology lab where they have a really high res machine and we did a second test to be sure. The doppler radar picked up a very very very faint movement that could potentially be a heartbeat but they couldn't be sure. Several doctors came in to all look and give their opinion.
Based on the measurement she says that now she estimates that I should be at 6 weeks which has me because I feel like I've been at 6 weeks forever. The nausea did start this week though which I know is a 6 week thing.
The doctor also said though that on that machine, at 6 weeks we should see a little more, but that she's been surprised before. So we are not out yet.
I guess my question is has anyone been through this before?
This is my timeline... May 7 was LMP I'm not sure when I ovulated. Conception was May 24 or 25 (I know for sure because DH was traveling a lot that month)
Could I really be only 6 weeks? Do we still have a chance? What was the latest that someone saw a heartbeat?
I will take any prayers you have.
Thanks so much for reading!
Update
Thank you all so much for the prayers...
We went on Wednesday to the doctor and it was confirmed that this is a miscarriage. The baby went from having a head and a body the previous week to being just a blob and you could see my uterus starting to contract around it.
Because there was no hope we opted to do the D&C yesterday morning. i don't think I have ever cried so much in my life. I feel like a dishrag right now but DH has been amazing and we have our families supporting us tremendously.
Thanks so much again everybody. We can start trying again on my second cycle so we can't wait for that.
Keep my seat warm because I'll be back soon I hope.
Good luck to all the mommies to be and thank you for all the prayers.

I am so sorry you are going through this. Hopefully you have a late implanter. I would not rush in to a D&C. So many women have been told the same things and waited and had healthy babies.
It sounds like you should be more like 7-8 weeks but you never know. Did you do bloodwork? If so you should repeat it on Monday. Also do a repeat sono. So much can change in a few days at this stage.

Thanks so much. We have another appointment on Wednesday where we will go straight to radiology and know better.
I've decided that I will wait for my body to dictate what is going to happen so I'm not going to do D&C even if they tell us bad news on Wednesday. I haven't had any cramping at all really.

Re: Could use some prayers / advice / whatever you've got...
I agree w/ mikeswife, don't rush into the d&c. My SIL was told she was miscarrying and it just turned out my niece, now 8 years old, was simply small. There just does not seem to be a lot of concrete evidence. I'm not trying to give you false hope, I'm just saying that at least if you wait, regardless of the outcome, you know you were sure.
Sorry to hear you are dealing with this, I hope it all works out. I know how having a m/c feels, I went through it last year. Hope you end up w/ a healthy baby!

Thank you so much! I am hoping that the baby is just small. I exercise a lot, and I've been trying to stick to a modified weight watchers but I'm throwing it out the window until Wednesday at least.

Re: Could use some prayers / advice / whatever you've got...
ok, first of all , i am so sorry you are going through this i have so much to say on this topic
doctors scare the living hell out of people telling them this MANY people do not see a heartbeat until at least 7 weeks
that being said, i am also disturbed by the fact that they all go by LMP instead of the size of the baby or embryo
I did not ovulate until day 20 of my cycle so in the very early stages of pregnancy, compared to someone that ovulated on day 13 or 15, there is a HUGE difference in what can be seen on a baby
This also happened to my sister with #2 They told her there was an empty sac needless to say , Andrew is 5 years old
HTH Do you know when you ovulated? I know you said LMP was May 7th that means your last period was 7 weeks and 2 days ago, so you are probably more like 5 weeks pregnant
hope this all makes sense i also think that this is why so many women say their babies were "late" because doctors count those 2 weeks from LMP until ovulation as the fist 2 weeks of pregnancy which to me is ABSURD how can you be 2 weeks pregnant if you didnt even ovulate yet?!??

Hunny I am so sorry you are going through this! I would not do anything yet. My friend had a very similar experience where her hcg was very very low and she was not able to hear a heart beat until 9 weeks. Try to remain as calm as possible, ask the Dr. for bloodwork to check your hormone levels. I pray everything will be alright. XOXOXO BOTB

Re: Could use some prayers / advice / whatever you've got...
Thank you so much everybody. All these responses are giving DH and I some hope.
I should mention that the blood tests that I took a few weeks ago are what is leading the doctor to believe that I should be farther along than 6 weeks. She said that when she last tested me m level was at about 1,000 so by now it should be at 4,000. I'm praying that the baby is just small and will have a growth spurt over the next few days.

Good choice....I was in a similar situation....I went in at 6 weeks...they only saw a sac...scheduled a D & C but I refused to go through with it and waited a week for another sono...which they found a HB...
and here I am at 30 weeks!!!
You may have a late implanter...I say wait it out and go for another sono in another week....you'll be more sure then!!!
I'm here if you need anything!!

Re: Could use some prayers / advice / whatever you've got...
even though you could have BD'd on those days you might not have implanted for a few more days so the timing could off a little hang in there for a while it might be too soon to see a HB just yet g/l

Re: Could use some prayers / advice / whatever you've got...
With all of my pregnancies my due dates have been changed due to late implantation or late ovulation..I guess that's just me.
OK since you BD on the 24th and the 25th it is entirely possible that you didnt ovulate until a bit after that and still have gotten pregnant. That coupled with a late implantation could be where you are at.
With my last pregnancy my doctor told me he didnt think it was viable. I had extremely low progestrone...we're talking 3 & 4...and it took us forever to see the heartbeat..

Re: Could use some prayers / advice / whatever you've got...
This happened with my ds. I went and at 6 weeks it wasn't looking good they sent me to get my hcg levels checked every other day to see if the numbers were going up. They did but I didn't get the sigh of releif until 9 weeks. My little man started out behind but ended up a month early and weighing 7lbs 5oz. Try not to worry to much there is still hope. I would ask to go for a series of hcg test. Those numbers doubling and tripling will tell so much. Hope this helps you can fm me if you have any questions.
