Could use your help re: selling my house
Hi ladies,
I need some help. We just put our house up FSBO. I know this isn't the best way to sell a house but since we aren't in a total rush, we thought we would try this route. It's a legal 2 family home in a village within decent town.
Since this is my first time not only attempting FSBO, but also selling a house period, can you think of questions a potential buyer will ask me that I need to know answers to so I don't look like an idiot?
I'm really not real estate savy and the questions that I ask as a buyer are relatively basic. What questions do you always ask? What questions would you ask about a 2 family home? I just want to be prepared for any types of curve balls that I may not have thought of myself.
TIA!

Re: Could use your help re: selling my house
I always asked if there were permits for all the improvements in the house, so if I were looking at a 2 family house I would definitely want to know that it was legal. If I were you, I would stress that.
I often asked why the owner was selling.
Proximity and availability of parking at the local train station was something we thought about too.
If you are in a village, do they have restrictions about parking on the street at night, having fences, swimming pools, or other restrictions for owners?

I think what would be a great idea is, take pics of your house, put small pics onto a flyer and make lot so copies. You can also incorporate all the information you get all of this thread into that flyer. This way, the buyers have all the information in front of them. If they ask questions you aren't sure of tell them you will have to find that out and can call them if they are interested. I hope this helps in some way. GL!

Yes I sold a house FSBO and I did the flyer thing. It also helps the buyer have something to reference after they get home.
