Couples Resorts - Jamaica
Has anyone ever stayed in the brand, Couples resorts in Jamaica?
They have 3 - Negril, San Souci and Swept away.
What about the RIU brands?

Re: Couples Resorts - Jamaica
I haven't been, but my sister just went to Couples Swept Away and raved about it. My friend stayed at the RIU in Puerto Vallarta, and said that while it was pretty much "no frills", the price was right and they had a great time.

Re: Couples Resorts - Jamaica
Don't do RIU in Jamaica. We just did it in July, it was horrible. We were there for a week, the food was not good, I would not go there again-nor would I recommend it to anyone.
If you have any questions, you can FM me.

Re: Couples Resorts - Jamaica
I havne't, but stayed in a resort that was right next to the Couples Negril. it didn't look that great...well, at least from the front and their section of the beach was SOOOO crowded. people couldn't find chairs and it was so loud.
we stayed at sunset at the palms in Negril for our honeymoon and we were beyond thrilled. we LOVED it. it was so beautiful. the setting was great. it wasn't beachfront, but across the street and you felt like you were in the jungle and the beach was right across the street when you wanted that. it was so nice...the staff was great, the pool was lovely, the food was pretty good (not amazing, but good).
check them out: sunsetatthepalms.com
they have a few locations in Jamaica.

Re: Couples Resorts - Jamaica
I stayed at Couples Ocho Rios for my HM-- which just did a MAJOR multi-million dollar renovation, and is now called Couples Tower Isle.
It was just amazing. The service is TOP NOTCH and the staff really seemed to care that it was our HM and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. The thing that amazed me was the loyalty in the customers who stay there. We met so many people who were on their 3rd, 4th, 5th stay and for many of them, they knew the staff already as they tend to stay there for years! Tons of activities to do around the resort, and some stuff that you would pay for at other resorts is free there! (Such as horseback riding, SCUBA diving lessons, catamaran cruise, etc.)
Highly recommend them!

Re: Couples Resorts - Jamaica
We stayed at Couples Swept Away which is in Negril and it is really amazing. Like Melissa said, they are really top notch. It's hard to compare other AI's to them! The food is delicious and there really is a lot to do. CSA is bigger than the Negril resort. The one in Ochos Rios that they redid is even bigger.
