Courteney Cox is ready for baby number 2!
A sibling is in the future for Coco Cox Arquette! The 5-year-old is the daughter of Courteney and David, who say they are getting ready to try for baby number two.
The 45-year-old actress says, “We’re not trying yet. We’re revving up the engines. I’m only ready ’cause time’s a-ticking. If I was 34, I’d wait another year, because I like those three-to-four gaps. I want Coco to be helping me with the next one. One child is hard. Two is probably harder.”

I guess I was always under the impression Coco was very hard to concieve so I figured they had been trying for sometime now. I guess not, but I think to say that she's 45 and she feels the pressure is a bit naive. She'll be atleast 64 when her 2nd is graduating. I just find that a bit odd, and to like 3-4yr gaps is fine, but Coco is 5 so isn't she overdo by her standards?

I thought the same thing. I would think after a difficult time with your first DC, you wouldn't want to announce to everyone your plans - now THAT is pressure. Everytime they take a slightly unflattering pic of her everyone will say she must be pg. And if she has a hard time this time around hearing those rumors will be very painful.

I've heard, off the record, from numerous sources that Coco was IVF. She struggled for years while on Friends to have a baby.
At 45, if the above is true, I'm going to guess she has frosties.
At the same time, I don't understand why she would wait so long Maybe, she had a few failed rounds, she secretly is pregnant and just put this story out there because she's not ready to reveal yet To wait so long doesn't make sense... sure two kids close in age is challenging but it's a lot less challenging when you can afford a FT nanny, cook, housekeeping, etc.

Im going to be 40 next year and I plan on having a second child. I assure everyone that all of my parts are in good working order.

She may just be saying this for it to sound carefree, b/c she really doesn't want to get into the fact that she may have frozen embryos and time is really NOT of the issue. Maybe she was busy, or just enjoying her DD, well knowing she had some frozen embryos for when the time was best. Maybe her first pg knocked her out, she needed a large recovery time. And reading it again, she may have just meant time was ticking regarding her age in general. The older you are, technically "less" time you will be around for your DC as they/you age....generally speaking. She may not have even meant it in a ttc sense.
JMO though
It's no one's business so I think she is just saying clique things to shut people up.

Im surprised she waited this long considering all the miscarriages and trouble she had to conceive the first one. Unless they figured what the major issue was and it will be easier to conceive this time around.

I agree, I didnt take offense either. As someone who is 40 and has IF issues, well, I AM old....at least for this conversation.

I am pretty sure I read that she had suffered from multiple miscarriages and then was successful with IVF. Which may be similar to my situation in that she was having ectopic pregnancies.

I agree, I didnt take offense either. As someone who is 40 and has IF issues, well, I AM old....at least for this conversation.
While I am not in my 40s I do no think the comment should be particular offensive considering the fact that 45 is on the older side for having a baby. While some women can most women start going through menopause in their mid-forties.
