Re: Courteney Cox is ready for baby number 2!

Can anyone explain what she means by she likes 3-4 gaps? Her DD is 5 so if she waited another year, wouldnt that be a 6yr gap?
Yeah, I don't get that comment either. And why she feels the need to announce her intention to have another child is beyond me. Go do it, why are you even talking about it?

she's old already I'm surprised she is considering another
It's one thing to say that that her clock is ticking or at her age it will be hard to conceive-that's a fact.
But the above?
There are a lot of 40+ people on here-that's a really crappy comment.
I felt the same way when I read this.

If I was 34, I’d wait another year, because I like those three-to-four gaps. I want Coco to be helping me with the next one. One child is hard. Two is probably harder.”
I took this to mean that maybe she enjoyed the time when her daughter was 3-4 yrs. old and didn't want to share that time with a newborn.
As someone who is soon to be 42 and had her first at 40, I definitely would not want another one right away. I think I would go insane and for me personally, I take the risk that I might not get pregnant right away.
I remember hearing she had a lot of trouble conceiving. I know several people who have had children at 45. It's more difficult to get pregnant and more challenging in some ways to be an older parent, but not impossible and not TOO old, IMO.

Re: Courteney Cox is ready for baby number 2!
It would be weird if Courtney herself googled her name and then read this thread and came on here to defend herself...
45 is not old per se but I agree with what Barb said earlier, before 40 may be ideal. However, she was pretty busy acting for the past 20 years so I bet by the time she decided to have kids (in her late 30s? I guess?) She then discovered she had IF challenges...more power to her if it's true. The energy alone! I'm 32 and I have no energy lol!

Re: Courteney Cox is ready for baby number 2!
I kind of feel like this is just a statement she released to the press. I really don't think it has any bearing on her true feelings at all. I think she's been trying, is trying, is pregnant, or any number of the other possibilities suggested on this thread that I don't know about.

I'm 41. I didn't take offense. I don't think the OP meant 40 is old, but old to have a baby. (and if you did mean 40 is old, well...I accept that I'm no longer young )
Sure you can have a baby after 40, but I'm pretty sure we'd all agree that before 40 is more ideal, no?
I agree, I didnt take offense either. As someone who is 40 and has IF issues, well, I AM old....at least for this conversation.
While I am not in my 40s I do no think the comment should be particular offensive considering the fact that 45 is on the older side for having a baby. While some women can most women start going through menopause in their mid-forties.
wooops didn't think this comment would offend so many For me, 45 is past the limit, my aunt and my mother both starting dealing with Peri Menopause in their mid 40's.
