Coxsackie

Carlie was sent home today with a note that someone in her class an the class next door has Coxsackie. They assured us they clean all the toys every night, but I am worried. Has anyone has a child have this before? What should i be looking for?

Re: Coxsackie

My friend's son just came home with this from daycare. The incubation period is 3-5 days and it started with him with a low grade fever, then a day or two later he had blisters on his hands and feet inbetween the fingers and toes. you can also see sores in their mouth. I think she only gave him tylenol for the fever and the sores he had were minimal.

She may start eating less (usually the first sign) and drooling a lot. Then you check in her mouth to see the bumps.Chat Icon

All too familiar with cox sackie. In an adult, it's general malaise slight fever. In a child, it's about 4-5 days of Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon .

Re: Coxsackie

Patrick JUST had it. It went away last night. I am happy to say my girls have not shown signs of it. We kept him away from other kids.
