cracked ipad screen
I am so mad. I am worried about DS breaking it and DH broke it today by dropping a spoon on it while he was eating an ice! Does anyone know what I can do about it? Is there anyone that fixes? I don't have applecare because I am an idiot!

You could try bringing it to the apple store. A couple friends of mine brought their broken iPads there and they replaced them as a one time courtesy. It doesn't hurt to try!

my friends husband just ordered the screen on line cause the kids broke theirs I think its pretty easy to change out.

Apple charges $249 to fix it if you don't have Applecareplus. We had AppleCare because at the time we purchased the iPad AppleCareplus was not available. We were told it doesn't cover accidental breakage. I asked about fixing it as a courtesy and they said they don't do that. We had the iPad for less then 6 months!
I tried to find other places but most you had to send it in the mail. I was too nervous to do that. I hope you find a cheaper place.

We went to the apple store and asked if they did the courtesy and they said they haven't done that in a year :(

I tried this. As he was asking what happened he took down the serial number and stuff and put me "in the system" then he told me it would be $290 (with tax)  i couldn't even try another apple store or another employee since I was already marked. lol
I just paid it that time- if it happens again, I'll go to an outside company.

You can also look up a place called CPR Cell phone repair ...i work in an auto body shop and my boss has an iPhone needless to say i was there almost weekly when he first got the phone ....they were decent in price and warranty there repair unless you damage it obviously..

Keep in mind that once you have an apple product worked on by yourself or someone who is not in an apple store, they will not work on it ever again. Even if you pay. Very frustrating.
