Cracks in plaster walls
Our building is super old and we have noticed that there are cracks is the plaster. Has anyone done fixing of this and is it hard?

its a pain in the butt because of the sanding and stuff but not super hard
doing it right, will help prevent it from happening again.

If they're not too bad you can put some putty / filler in them - smooth over them and then paint over the filler.

It's time consuming work but if you have a light hand and patience, it can be done.
DH adds plaster to the spackle - it sets faster and harder. Light coats...and sand. The sanding is the worst part, imo - that fine dust - no matter how well you cover and protect - seeps in everywhere. It will fall for days.
