I can't remember the name of it but it could have been "Clue" or something like that. It was an "electronic" version of a "detective" game. Not a computer one though because that was 30 years ago.  I was the neatest thing and I wanted it so bad. It was just too $$$. So I never got it.

A pony. I REALLY wanted one. I even drew up a plan for where it would live, how I would feed it and clean it's poop and exercise it. I got a rocking horse one year, and other 'horse things' until I finally gave up at around age 10 and just stopped asking.

a Cabbage Patch Kid....
I was fine with the other things I got that morning until.................................
I walked in to Mass on Christmas morning and the richest and MEANEST girl in my class ...and the one girl I could honestly say I didn't like, was sitting in the second pew with not one, but TWO Cabbage Patch Kids--- a girl one and a boy one. I was crushed.
Years later, my mom said she felt so bad, but they were going for several hundreds of dollars that year and she just couldn't afford it. I ended up getting one for my birthday a few months later when the hype died down a little bit.

The Barbie Dream House. Instead I got a small doll house but the Barbie doll could not stand up in it like she could in the dream house so I was upset and almost never played with it.
Sigh, this was me too. I had a She-Ra castle - much smaller and way too short, but we made it work, sorta. I did get a She-Ra figurine, but it just wasn't the same as Barbie. I also had a My Little Pony Ranch House that I converted and made work, sorta. Guess I should've been a contractor, lol!

Another easy bake oven-less child here!! I begged and begged, never got it.
And I ALWAYS wanted a sit and spin..again, begged for it. My mom said it rattled you brain?
Guess what my daughter got this past Christmas (and never touches by the way), A SIT AND SPIN! I was literally angry. LMAO

I also wanted an easy bake oven and never got it too!
I think my parents thought it was dangerous or too messy.

Usually it's the other way around, isn't it?
I asked for a Rock Tumbler every year for the longest time and I would never get it.
When I was about 25 my brother got me one. Sadly I then understood why they wouldn't get it it for me. It took a zillion days to make anything smooth, and I had to put it in a closet while it was running because the noise was so annoying. I think I used it once. What a disappointment!

A microscope! Really, Santa! That's what you got me?!
I did my best to feign excitement over the microscope, even looking at fly wings & hair but really ....where the heck was my telescope! T-E-L-E-S-C-O-P-E.
Did you just think anything with the word "scope" would do? I suppose it could have been worse. It would have taken my ages to figure out what an endoscope was.
