Crashing from pregnancy... Any westchester moms here?
Hi girls!
I am a mommy to be in westchester. I am a Manhattan native and I don't really have any BTDT friends in the area. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a wonderful pediatrician? I am in Hartsdale but would be willing to travel, especially if they have weekend appointments. Thanks!

I live in Rye Brook. My ped is in Greenwich, CT, so that prob would not be convenient for you, but there is another practice in the Rye Ridge shopping center that a lot of people like. My friend has a practice she likes that I think is in White Plains-- which is probably more convenient. I can ask her the name of the practice.

My DD's ped is in the new Ridge Hill complex in Yonkers. It was formerly Lawrence Park Pediatric in Bronxville but became Westmed when it moved. Her dr is Thomas Angelo and I love him. We've also seen John Urzi and Tara Harrington and they have been great too. HTH!

My DD goes to John Urzi of this practice and we've seen Tara Harrington too. We love them. I highly recommend you check them out. I have friends who see Dr. Angelo and say great things about him too. I think this is a great practice overall.

Thanks! I will definitely check these doctors out. I feel much more comfortable calling them based on recommendations instead of blindly calling doctors from my insurance website.

I live in White Plains and use Soundview Pediatrics- specifically Dr. Newman. They are also about calling back after hours and will see patients Saturday and sick children on Sunday as well. We once saw a Dr. on Easter Sunday when DS woke up with pink eye.

Re: Crashing from pregnancy... Any westchester moms here?
I love my group in white plains. They are "White Plains Pediatric Group":
White Plains Pediatric Group 410 North Broadway White Plains, NY 10603 Phone: (914) 948-0353
Easy to get to, easy parking, straight forward & remind me of my peds Drs when I was a kid. They usually reserve Saturdays for sick visits & have someone every day of the year. I've spoken to the call Dr only once & was really impressed.
The best thing was that my Dr visited me in the hospital MULTIPLE times when I delivered DS (White Plains Hospital). It was a great bonding experience & she really took care of lots of issues & questions (feeding, birthmarks, ect.) on the spot. Not absolutely necessary, but it was really nice to have.
I'll be using them again, of course, for DD.
Any other questions, you can FM me!
