does your credit score effect how much you will be approved for or just what interest rate you will get?

I think they go by Debt to income ratio for how much they give you and the score to determine the rate you will get.

Yes it does, and to boot they will take the lower sore to give you a rate.
Example - Husband 750
Yourself 800
They will use the lower score.
