crib transition.....
So, the construction is finally done upstairs and we are going to move my boys in theri cribs from theri swings this weekend and very nervous about it, especially Christopher, because when he is at my MIL he sleep son his tummy and when I put him on his back, he will wake up every so often. So, do you think we should make a slow transition by putting their swings in their room, or just go cold turkey and put them in their cribs. I have been laying them in their cribs so they get used to the room, but we have been painting so the upstairs still smells a little, so it was hard to put them in thier.
Any suugestions.....I guess I have to look forward to getting NO SLEEP this wekend.

Re: crib transition.....
my crib transition also starts this month. i am going to start slow, i am going to put her in her crib at least twice a week and gradually add a day after the week is done. hopefully that will work

Re: crib transition.....
We started DD slow, i would put her in her crib when i folded laundry, cleaned her room or upstairs or other random times.
Then i put her in there for naps, once we had naps she went in there at night.
DD was 8 weeks old and has been sleeping her crib since.
We all slept so much better, DD is a noisy sleeper, and moans, groans, and cries in her sleep, she would wake us up for no reason all the time and we thought something was wrong and wound up waking her up so many times.
It was wondeful to have my room back!

Re: crib transition.....
Personally, I would put them in the crib and see how they do. If they are miserable, they will let you know, and then I would back track and put the swing in there. I would definitely have the swing ready to go that night incase the crib didn't work out.
also, when you put them in the crib, I would try and make it as "cozy" as possible - swaddle, or blankets on the side of them, b/c that is what they were used to with the swing.
