Crib without drop down sides...
Is a very very bad idea. Do not buy one, make sure that you get a crib with drop down sides. They seem okay until your little one can stand up, then once that mattress is lowered...honey, I hope your back is as flexible as Nadia Comeneci's because it is hard to lean over that railing.
This has been a public service announcement!!!

Yes, a funny girl with a very bad back whose husband has to put the baby in the crib every night! Thank goodness for naptime I put him in sitting up...

You are hysterical. We split the difference and got the Generation Next. It has a hinge on the top that comes down about 4 - 5 inches.

Re: Crib without drop down sides...
Now, maybe I'm just a spazz, but whenever I tried doing the drop down ones, w/o hands or w/ 1 hand I had LOTS of trouble getting it to go down! I am petrified that I won't be able to lower it while holding the baby!!
