Crossfit anyone?
Does anyone do crossfit? Pros? Cons? It looks pretty cool but I'm not loving the prices

Re: Crossfit anyone?
I resisted the "cult" for a long time but I converted from a regular gym with a personal trainer last August to Crossfit and I absolutely LOVE it. You pay more than a regular gym but you get a lot more out of it. The community aspect of it is pretty awesome too.
I would recommend being selective with which gym you join. Some are more reputable than others and IMO you could get seriously hurt if you have trainers who aren't as qualified/experienced.
ETA: The pro is that I am in the best shape of my life and that includes when I was working 1:1 with a trainer for a year. I also never hate going like I used to with a regular gym. I truly enjoy going and try to make it 4-5x a week.
The cons are bruises and ripped up hands. Your body gets used to it and that doesn't happen as much but you get calluses on your hands and I would sometimes get bruises on my collarbone area from the bar.

Crossfit anyone?
I did it for 5 years. I loved ite so much. But I injured myself in many ways. Even though I had a great coach who taught perfect form. It is easy to get injured when you are tired or trying to complete the WOD. I still utilize the movements but went to traditional bodybuilding. I compete in shows and am currently in better shape than I ever was with Crossfit.
