Crumb Cake Addicts
Any other crumb cake lovers out there???
Looking for some great recipes... (I love BIG crumbs and moist cake ones )
Also; my MIL picked me up "pizza crumb cake" I believe she picked it up from dairy barn, but the cake itself comes from a bakery in Northport....
It was YUMMY!!!! If you love crumbs, you will LOVE this!

I LOVE crumb cake. my favorite is Entenmann's original. my favorite part is the crumbs too, but the Ultimate crumb cake crumbs taste different.
I wish I could make it like Entenmann's.

Trader Joes has a great crumb cake mix, its more "crispy crumbs" and moist cake than the powdery crumbs. I actually like it better than most I've tried :) and its really easy to make!

The Entenmanns original crumb cake is my all time favorite too!
Have you noticed how much smaller it is? I am always disappointed because it seems like it's half the size it used to be!

Barefoot Contessa Crumbcake
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
2/3 c. oil
2/3 c. milk
4 eggs
4 sticks butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
4c. flour
2/3 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. white sugar
Beat cake mix, oil, milk and eggs with hand mixer until blended. Pour into 9x13 buttered baking dish. Bake for 25 min. at 350.
Combine melted butter, sugar, flour, vanilla and cinnamon a little at a time until all combined.
WARNING: I HAD A CRUMBLE CRISIS
At first, the crumble is going to appear very viscous and liquidy. Do not, I repeat, do not fret. It doesn't honestly come together until the last cup of flour has been added.
When cake is done, take large heaping handfuls of that sweet brown crumble and, you guessed it, crumble it with your fingers all over the cake. Press gently, it doesn't take much work. Cover every last inch and nook and cranny. I don't want to see any naked cake!
Once all the crumble has been generously applied to the cake, bake for another 20 minutes.
I cannot resist it right out of the oven. The cake was so warm, the butter was literally oozing from little gold puddles onto my fingers.

hahah my MIL just brought us one too yesterday! It's from Hummel Bakery. Wow, I didn't know they sell that at Dairy Barn.

YES hummel's pizza crumb is amazing. the ones at dairy barn are smaller (and they are plain). hummel has all different pizza crumbs: plain, chocolate, different jams-so delish

I feel the EXACT same way. The ultimate is not as good, and the original is the best crumb cake ever.

my cousin gave me it I have no idea where she got it
I like to make individual ones in muffin pan - so goooood
CRUMB CAKE
1 box of yellow cake mix follow directions!
crumbs: 3 sticks of butter or margerine
3c. flour
1c. sugar
2-2 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
cut all these ingredients into margarine until well blended
After cake has baked:
Sprinkle topping onto cake,covering entire top use all of it Put cake back in oven for another 15 - 18 min. when ready to serve sprinkle with confectioners sugar ENJOY!!!

See I LOVE the cake on the ultimate and the crumbs on the original... I wish I could combine them...lol
