Re: Cry me an effing river
I didn't talk to him for YEARS because I KNOW he's an a-hole.
I'm just stupid, and I think one day the 12 year old who was my best friend is going to come back.

I feel like I'm in high school. I just blocked him from my buddy list.

I usually find it hilarious. Until today.
Oh well. I should never have started speaking with him again.

Just based on what you posted, i wouldnt let it get you upset at all.... It sounds like more things were said though than what you did post. While I do still talk to one ex BF - i think it is *usually* a bad idea to keep in touch with an ex. After all, you did break up for a reason.

We were best friends for a LOT longer than we dated. Usually I take him with a grain of salt. Today he said really awful and untrue things. When I called him on his "disasters" not really being disasters he got angry with me and just started ranting at me. He was saying something derogatory about my career and I said "When I get into Yale, it'll all be worth it" (I was still not taking him seriously at insulting me and getitng offended I was ignoring his insults) and he said "That'll be the day" and I said "f--k you. thanks a lot" and then he said "well you've never met one goal you set for yourself in life, so why start now"
and it went on from there.
It's not worth repeating because it isn't true. It's just a sign that I was much better off not talking to him for years at a time.

Re: Cry me an effing river
I would really have nothing to do with him anymore after that last conversation. It's sad when you have to cut someone that you were close to out of your life, but sometimes it has to be done. This sounds like one of those times.

Wow.
Now if that wasn't a cue to exit this relationship, I don't know what is. . Time to cut him out of your life - not just for now, for GOOD.
Buh bye, jerk

Yup.
I'm actually so embarassed to post this, because I feel really embarassed that I even still spoke to him, knowing that he was capable of being a complete jeckyll and hyde. One minute he's normal, nice, a little obnoxius but funny (which is why at first i took it with a grain of salt) another minute he's vicious and he for some reason just wants to hurt me. I think he still thinks he's getting back at me for dumping him 8 years ago or something. I used tot hink it was amusing when he was like "oh I bought my gf this, I bought my gf that" or he's make insinuations that he was better han FH. I just felt bad for him, like come on, you can't get over it after all these years, but this just goes beyond the beyonds.
Especially because since we were friends for so long, he knows how much I've stuggled and how much I've overcome. He just thinks he can hurt me. Dumbazz.

Re: Cry me an effing river
I Think its time to say Good Bye loser and have a great life, if you dont spend all of that 10k all in one place! Its good you realized now that he was Not "worth" keeping as a friend and I think he "STILL" has a thing for you and He see that now you are "Happy" you & going to get married he is Jealous of it, so instead of admiting that he is going to think Ok I can tell her how much money I have and How much money i spent on the Giants in "Gambling" so she can feel sorry for me. All I have to say he is one pathetic Loser and needs to get his life together.I am sorry he said mean things to you, Just know you "are the better person" and I am glad you cut your ties with him
