Crying/screaming in sleep?
Does anyone have experience with this? My DS is 8 weeks now, and for the last two weeks, he sometimes starts well, screaming in his sleep. He will be sleeping soundly, and then all of the sudden he will start to scream. This is not like any other cry he has, or even the times when he is upset and screams in general. I wake him up by talking to him or picking him up, and then he is fine - he either goes right back to sleep or is up and fine.
I looked through some other posts - could he be having nightmares or night terrors (and what exactly are they?). He is so young, and I don't know what to do.

Re: Crying/screaming in sleep?
yes, Sydney does this sometimes..I think they call it Night terrors. At 1st i used to go up and check on her but now i just let her CIO and within minutes she falls back asleep. I think your DC wakes up from a dead sleep and is scared and doesn't know where they are so they cry.

Re: Crying/screaming in sleep?
DD is almost 10 weeks and does this. It lasts a few seconds and she goes right back to sleep- it makes me so nervous!

Re: Crying/screaming in sleep?
My 1 year old just started this last week, but it takes me a while to get him back to sleep. When I try to put him back in his crib he screams even louder, the dr said to leave him and don't pick him up but it breaks my heart. I know I am spoiling him.
