Curiosity question for those with 2, and the first one was a big baby
I am just curious....
DS (who is almost 3 mos) was estimated to be a big baby, and we scheduled a c/s. He was a big baby, 9lbs 7ozs @ birth.
What are the chances that Baby #2 will be big??
I am thinking about VBAC possibilities (NO, I am not PG, but just curious), haven't discussed it with my Dr, but just wondering.
TIA!

My babies weren't too big, but they weighed almost the same!! DS(born 2 days before EDD)-8lbs 6 ozs DD(born 2 days after EDD)-8 lbs 7 ozs
Baby #3 will be here in October and I can't wait to see if IT weighes around the same as the first two.

Re: Curiosity question for those with 2, and the first one was a big baby
My best friend's 1st son was born (via c/s, but not because of his weight) at 8lbs. 15oz. She gave birth on May 4 (in fact, she left LIJ the day we came in )to another son who weighed 9lbs. 6oz. She was interested in VBAC, but she was measuring waaaay ahead for most of the pregnancy--at one point 5 weeks ahead! Her doctor didn't seem to think the VBAC was very likely (although I believe she supported it), because of DS #1's weight. In the end, she had the repeat "c" 8 days *before* her due date.

my dd was 9,8 and I am sure that my next one will be a big baby as well, I am going to do a planned c-section though
I think the babies get bigger as you go along (like your 2nd is usually bigger than your first)

Re: Curiosity question for those with 2, and the first one was a big baby
My first was 9 lbs 7 oz too - but he was 3 weeks early as well I had a c/s with him but NOT because of his size, it was because he was breech.
With my second, I was monitored closely and my DD (who WAS a VBAC ) was born at 38w3d and was 7 lbs 11 oz.
So in my case, my second was 2 lbs smaller and the VBAC was a beautiful thing!

I've heard that the 2nd is normally bigger and in my case it was too true. LOL
My 1st was 8lbs 13oz My 2nd was 10lbs 7oz
Both out the natural way.
