Cut Up Fruit - keeping fresh...

i was talking to dave's parents the other night about how i cut up fruit for Em - but we don't use apples because they turn brown before i'm even done cutting them up....

they said to use lemon juice on them....but then i asked if i could use lemon juice (from fresh lemons) on the REST of the fruit too and they weren't sure....

plums
tangerines
peaches
pears

would a small amount of lemon juice be okay to keep fresh??

i'd cut up some lemons, squeeze them, dip my hands into the juice (i got 4 lemons) and then dip my hands into the fruit and toss it....so that each piece of fruit gets just a tiny bit of lemon juice...

or would this ruin the fruit? i spent 20 bucks on fruit last night and don't want to see it all spoil because i put juice on it....

You can squeeze lemon juice directly on the fruit. It won't hurt them, they will just taste more like lemons. I do this for my apples.

I only end up doing apples if I am eating them with her right then and there because of the whole browning issue. I know it's no big deal, but it grosses me out.
