Cutting Board...anyone know of a cheaper alternative?
DH gets irritated with cutting boards with the groove because the juice either overflows or when he goes to pour it, pours all over the counter instead. Several months ago he had me try to find one with a spout, but logic would dictate that would just make the juices run out on the counter, no? Needless to say, I didnt find anything.
Today I was searching gilt and came across a fabulous cutting board but HOLY MOLEY I really dont think I want/need to spend more than $50 on a cutting board (even THAT irritates me ). I have been searching online for a cheaper version of this one but cant. Anyone board (ha pun not intended).
This is the one that was one gilt for $94 (sold out) and listed on Amazon for $140. John Boos cant be the only one that makes such a fabulous cutting board! This would make the perfect Father's Day Gift.

What I would do is get a 1/2 baking sheet and a smaller size cutting board that would fit inside of the tray. If juice falls off, it will go into the baking sheet. That way you can save $ and get a baking sheet out of the deal too.

Here's an option: http://www.jellyrivers.com/Vacu-Vin-Cutting-Board-Tray-with-Juice-Drain-Drawer-P131.aspx
or this: http://www.cooking.com/products/shprodde.asp?SKU=283232&CCAID=CKSCPDSHPZ&mr:referralID=d47bb0f6-835e-11e0-9e9c-001b2166c62d
The designs are a little too industrial or commercial for me though.

Leave it to a man to find exactly what DH had been talking about from the beginning. . .
