DA MN The scary Halloween decorations in store!!!
Went to party city today with my 4.5 and almost 2 yr old and we take not even 5 steps in the place and my oldest startrs trembling in fear from this crazy scary monster, goblin skeleton things hanging from the ceiling. I had to carry her out of the store. Last yr even walgreens was decorated that way too...  I felt so bad that she so scared.

One year I asked to be a witch and when my mom was done with the makeup etc. I freaked out and got hysterical. She had to take it all off.

Yeah, Halloween is way too scary for my almost 5 year old. We can't go into any of those stores; I have learned this in years past.

i played a mean/funny trick on my DDs when we were in there. We always scare each other--jumping out of places and saying boo. They love it. Sooo, DH was strolling them around in the cart, and I snuck off and put on a mask, snuck up on them and made a growling noise. They shook and and gave a "what the..." expression, and I took off the mask and starting laughing, and then they were roaring. Then they kept putting on masks and yelling :) we're a strange family...lol

YES! the whole front of BJ's was monsters etc and DS was scared and kept talking about it.
That's what I need this poor kid with bad dreams

So does mine but she's only 3. The Spirit stores are open already so we take her in there to walk around. She likes to touch everything. But the automotronic stuff freaks her out. She just walks a wide path around them and will hide behind my thigh.
To me its the same with xmas stuff. Those freaky scary looking santas who move and say 'ha ha ha' are just spooky. Target last year had them up right next to the halloween stuff. AJ (and I) was ok with the witch and Mike Meyers looking thing but that Santa? No thank you.
Still, like I said, this may change. God knows last year she loved all things with spiders then just before halloween she flipped and HATES all things with spiders
