MY two and a half year old....
Seems to be going through a phase of referring to himself in the third person...
Noah wants that, Noah be careful, Noah do it.
Does anyone else have a child who thinks he is Oscar Wilde or is it just mine? He has nothing to declare except his genius.

Re: MY two and a half year old....
It makes sense to me ... I talk about myself in the third person "Mommy said No" "Give it to mommy" .... and of course there's Elmo doing it too.

Re: MY two and a half year old....
My son is 3 1/2 and still does this sometimes! He also likes to remind me things (like when he goes potty) "Say good job Robbie"!

Re: MY two and a half year old....
This is Ellie's chosen literary voice as well. It's funny that you posted this when you do b/c DH and I were just joking that we're all going to start referring to ourselves in the 3d person.
She's also fond of answering her own questions, such as "Ellie go outside and play? okay!" and "Ellie have chip? okay" We've also attempted this though w/o much success. take our recent tries...."Ellie go to bed...okay!" "Ellie clean up toys...okay" "ellie let mommy and daddy eat dinner in peace...okay" No luck yet but since Ellie thinks this approach will work perhaps we should keep giving it the old college try as well.
