Dark Knight question and no spoilers are intended so all are welcome to answer!
And this will probably get moved, who knows. And if you do have a spoiler, state it in your post.
Anyway, do you think the movie would have had the same success had Katie Holmes been in it rather than Maggie Gyllenhall? Not that Maggie made the movie or anything.
Personally, I was overjoyed that she wasn't in it.

I don't think it made too much of a difference. But I am not a Maggie fan. She looked so tired the whole movie. Big bags under her eyes. I just don't get her?

I didn't think Maggie or Kate would have been good in that role. To have a successful business man and a district attorney fighting over her, you'd think she'd have to look like Angelina Jolie!

I didn't care for Maggie-I found her irritating! I think "old" Katie was good, but there had to have been someone more exciting...she didn't do it for me, bottom line.

Exactly! I mean, Aaron Eckhardt is quite fine and let's not even go there with Christian Bale!

I think Katie is okay but Maggie looks like an old lady, I can't stand her.

I didn't care much for Katie, and I really didn't care much for Maggie. Given only those 2 choices, I'd rather have Katie in the movie tho. I actually cringed when C. Bale had to kiss MG in the movie! What an actor!

i can't stand either katie or maggie.
honestly i think someone like Rachel McAdams or Natalie Portman would have been better in the role.
Katie talks like a stroke victim out the side of her mouth--i wanna slap her.
and I agree that Maggie just looks "exhausted" all the time
