David Blaine
DH and I had tickets for the Opera last night so we were at Lincoln Center..... There were tons of people there just watching David Blaine, I took a couple of pictures.
I just don't understand the excitement or WHY someone would want to do something so stupid?

I teach right behind LC and OMG the traffic both people and cars is amazing!
I haven't gone to view this insanity, but I really have to wonder, what drives him to come up with these insane stunts?
It reminds me of the episode of SATC, with the artist who was staying awake on a shelf in the art gallery for the purpose of "performance art" ---Just a little weird!

My parents were there Sat night too - they have season tickets to the opera - they said it drew a ton of people and made it hard to walk around the area.

Well, I assume if he had a SO he would wouldn't need to do any of these attention seeking stunts. So I'm pretty sure shrinkage isn't an issue for him

Went this morning and he looks pretty shot...I am assuming that they will rush him to the hospital right after the event is over. They were treating his hands. I wonder, how long it will take for his skin to return to normal after all of this?
I assume that he will be making the talk show ciruit next week.

Yeah apparently he is saying that his body is shot but he is still going to go through with the stunt tonight. They said he has a severe earache and that his skin is starting to peel. NO THANKS.

He was on one of the morning shows doing an underwater interview and he took his gloves off and showed his hands they looked so nasty...... wrinkled isn;t even the word

I don't even think it is real but I can't even imagine how he'd fake something like that --- but the guy IS an illusionist -- he is an expert at making things that aren't real appear to be.
