Daycare holiday gift...suggestions please

So DS has been going to daycare since Sept. He went 3 days a week up until a week ago and now goes 4 days a week. We pay $215 for 4 days 9-515, it is in her house and it is with the school schedule. Therefore whenever the schools are closed she is closed.

How much should I give her for the holidays?

I could be wrong, but I think some give a week's pay as a gift.

Re: Daycare holiday gift...suggestions please

I am having such stress over this. DS goes full time and he has been there since 5 months old. (he is 13 months) i cant afford a weeks pay and i have 5 girls to gift for.

Financially things are rough right now so I need to be careful but i really want them to know my appreciation.

Bath & body work gifts? Starbucks GC's? ideas?

Not to sound ungrateful, as all gifts are appreciated, but I prefer gift cards over gifts.

I give AmEx gift cards. I gave $75 to the head teacher and $50 for the assistants (4) who are still full time.

In the past, when there were more part time assistants, I have $50 to the head teacher and $25 to all of the assistants.

ive heard this too but there is NO way we could afford this.

we have his two teachers to buy for and he literally JUST moved up to a new room today, so we have to buy a smaller gift for those two teachers also

i think we are going to do $100 for his first main teacher (amex gc) and $50 for his assistant - we are also buying her a $50 babies r us GC because she is having a baby in a month (and some baby odds and ends to make up a basket)

Maybe $40 for his new teacher and $25 for his new assistant

WOW!

I am glad I don't have to do all that!!!! I would not be able too!

I was thinking giving $100 extra, its hard for us right now, we just bought a house 3 months ago.
