Daycare moms - how often do YOU get sick?
I knew when we started that DS would get sick. Everyone warned me and it came as no surprise when he got a cold almost immediately.
What I was not prepared for is how often *I* would get sick! I have had a few colds and the stomach virus he brought home - I've been sick pretty much as often as he has. Will it be better next winter, or should I buy stock in Purell now?

I got everything the first year he was in daycare - now - not so much - DS is 3 - and maybe now he is more resillent to viruses

It seems like I am ALWAYS sick now  I used to get a bad cold about 1x a year - now it's a lot more often. I'm hoping it gets better.

DS has been in daycare a little over a year. DH and I frequently have some form of a cold (except over the summer--we all did well then). I had the stomach virus 4 times, DH had it twice. I got cocksackie.

Last year--DS's 1st year in daycare DH and I were sick A LOT....now it is not so bad---knock on wood

I only get sick when i bring him in bed with me and he is all over me - touching my face, sneezing and coughing on me. That is why I really resist bringing him in bed with me when he is sick - it is rare that he doesn't sleep in his crib, but when he doesn't, I always get sick.

With the last cold she caught at daycare - I got the worst of it. The kiddies at daycare had colds - I ended up with strep throat, sinus infection and ear infection. Took 3 weeks for me to get it out of my system.
I get nervous with every new sign I see as I walk in each morning wondering if something's hit her room again

I dont get sick a lot. When DS is sick with a cold I dont catch it. I take vitamins a lot.

Now that DD is in nursery school I catch everything she gets. She had the stomach virus last week, guess who woke up with it yesterday at 330 am??
Oh, and Dh gets everything too.. its awful lol

Maybe this is what I need to do - pump myself up with vitamin C I have never really used hand sanitizer much before, but the other day at Trader Joe's I was so excited because they had antibacterial wipes at the cart corral. I am such a geek.

Every time DS does it seems I am currently nursing a horrendous stomach virus... courtesy of Colin's daycare. I guess we have to re-grow our immune systems too!

All the time... Cold at least 2x and a stomach virus. When the virus comes everyone gets it including my ILs.
