Re: Daycare moms

I called everyday on my way home from work and sometimes on my lunch break. For 6 months straight! And I'll do the same in September again!

Re: Daycare moms

Of course! For the first two months Alex was in daycare I called everyday and I stopped by at least once a week to see how she was and watch how they handled her... I felt so bad but they told me I was mild compared to most of the parents. One parent calls twice a day, every day and her daughter has been in daycare for over a year...

Re: Daycare moms

Taylor has been in daycare for almost a year and a half....I still call 2-3 times a day to see how she is doing!!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I look at it this way...if a relative of mine or close friend was watching her I would call 2-3 times a day to see how she's doing...so why not the daycare center.

You need peace of mind that your precious gift is doing fine.

It is completely normal. Kudos to you for waiting so long.

I suggest asking them what is the best time to call. I did - I know to call at 2pm (during most of their nap times). I called almost daily when they were infants - usually torward the end of the day so I could get more of a day report (they still gave me the day's report card/feeding scheduled). Now I can't stand to hear the daily complaints about my son not listening.

Re: Daycare moms

YES!!! The first time we left Katie I called that afternoon. So far, I havent called this week because I know that if they need to reach me they will call me and I know she is in good hands. Some Mom's call every day at first - do what YOU feel comfortable with! Daycare places are used to calls from parents!!

Re: Daycare moms

Now I feel like such a bad mom!! I never called for either child unless they were sick the day before.
When I went to visit them when they were small, they were always sleeping so I just stopped.
