Daycare mom's will laugh... mommy and daddy caught our first post-baby colds
You always hear how daycare has so many germs and daycare babies are sick all the time - yada, yada, yada...
Well, we took DD to daycare today b/c - get this - WE are sick and both had to take sick days from work. How ironic is that? Poor baby - we didn't want to overly handle her yesterday so the poor thing sat in her swing most of the day, even when she cried I felt worse holding and breathing on her than frustrating her by leaving her in the swing (we interacted with her, but from a little more distance than usual) - feedings were horrible as my nose kept "leaking" and I had to keep putting her down - blow my nose, wash my hands or sanitize them at least - and then continue. I think she was grateful to be at daycare this morning, poor girly probably felt like "what's wrong with these people?" I took Zyrtek D today and although I'm not longer "leaking" from my nasal passages, I'm so "trippy" I can't even drive and I still feel like I was hit in the head with a baseball bat.
It WILL be a miracle if she doesn't get sick, but not from daycare, but from US. I hope it doesn't happen, but I got sick then DH got sick. Something must be going around and what are the chances a 3 month old won't catch it?

No advice just
Keep up the hand washing and sterilizing. Hope you both feel better soon.

aww, her immune system may be really ood right now still. I got such a terrible terrible cold when DS was about 6 weeks, that I was actually wearing a mask to prevent breathing all over him so much, by some freaking miracle, he did not get sick!
FEEL BETTER SOON!

Wow, this is great to know. I'd feel so bad if I knew I got her sick. I remember how hard it was as a small child to be sick - of course I don't remember it as an infant. But it's not like she can say "mommy - my throat hurts". I hope she'll be spared... it's a pretty bad one... I don't remember EVER being sick in August... this is a first for me... hope it never happens again. I almost feel like I have the flu, but it's probably just a bad sinus infection that's messing with my equalibrium.
