Re: daycare moms Q
This is a good question. DD's 1st birthday is on Monday. She won't be going to daycare that day- but I was thinking of sending something on Friday.
Another mom in DD's class made cupcakes. That would be great- but there will probably only be 1 other kid in the class that day. I was thinking of sending munchkins- but I"m not sure.
Is it silly to do so?

Re: daycare moms Q
For DS's first birthday we brought in bakery mini cupcakes with white and blue frosting. I wish I had taken a pic because the cupcakes came out great. I like the mini cupcakes idea because the kids probably won't eat all that much of them.

Re: daycare moms Q
I brought a box of munchkins (no powered, they might inhale it and choke) and two pails with blow up beach balls and bubbles in it for each side of the room to use (there are 8 babies per side).
Some parents were bringing in personalized goodie bags for one or both sides, and cakes, cookies. It's the infant room. We thought that was too much.
Great idea with the mini cupcakes!

Re: daycare moms Q
DS turned one in June and I made cupcakes for his whole daycare. There's only 45 kids in this location so it was fine. Next year they're combining locations so I think I'll do something different.

Re: daycare moms Q
No...Lucas wore a special shirt and had a bib that said 1st Birthday but we didn't bring anything in. They had a little celebration for him.

Re: daycare moms Q
I made milk -free / egg free mini cupcakes. (my dd is milk allergic and there is an egg allergic boy in her class).
Just a suggestion for those that have allergic kids in the class - it's always nice to bring Jello or if you know the allergies and have time a "x-free" something so they can all enjoy!!
As a mom of an allergic child I always ask the teachers to tell me when they are having parties so that I make sure I pack a treat for DD, but not everyone does that.
