Daycare supplies
DS will be starting daycare next month. He will be 6 mths. I will have to give the daycare a call but was thinking I would ask you girls first. The daycare provides the diapers and wipes so I don't need to supply them with that. They have told me to provide a backpack with for emergency's with supplies in case of a natural disaster. I guess my question is what should I provide them and how?
* He is at the point of formula. Should I just provide them a can with his name but provide boiled water from home?
* He goes through about 6 bottles a day (different amounts). Should I provide just the clean bottles?
* I will be providing 2 crib sheets. He has his comfort blanket that I will provide and take home every night.
* He is just eating rice cereal. He refuses fruit/veggies. Should I just provide a supply as well as eating utinsels?
* Anything else?
What kind of bag do you use to take all of this stuff in? I am looking for something compact that DH and I can both use and something.
Thanks!!

Re: Daycare supplies
DS was on ready made forumla at first and then we switched to powder. Both times I made his bottles at home. If he gets varying amounts in each bottle, maybe you can just label the bottles?
For utensils, I send him with the Gerber tossables. Your DS may be a little young for those because they are a bit larger but I would get spoons you don't mind having to replace since trust me, they will get misplaced.
For cereal, I put a set amount in a covered bowl and sent that with him every day. When he did start fruit and veggies, I got the Gerber Organic ones and wrote his name on the outside.
Make sure you label the tags on the sheets.
Is there a toy you can leave there with him or at least send him with every day?
Does he use a pacifyer? If so, I would get a pacifyer string and a case and put his name on those as well.
You may also want to send him with a change of clothes to keep there in case he spills something on himself or has an accident.
For a bag, we used one of the free ones we got from the hospital when he was born. If you don't have one of those, BRU or BBB has some really inexpensive ones. Again, you may want to put his name on it. I used a paint pen to write his name on the outside to avoid any confusion.
HTH!
