Daycare Questions

I think it looks like I have to go back to work Chat Icon so I'm beginning my search for a daycare center. I looked at one today but I don't really know what questions to ask them. What things do you BTDT moms think I should ask? I asked what training the teachers/workers have and they told me that the two working in the infant room have their CAD or CDA? I can't remember which it was. What is this? Thanks for your help. I'm not sure where to begin, but I'm nervous about trusting Ellie to anyone without knowing they're trustworthy.

Re: Daycare Questions

A CDA training is like a daycare training, boces class... Every Infant classroom HAS TO have a lead teacher with a CDA certification or higher (AA, BA)

You should make sure they are following the NYS ratios and all the licensing regs... LIKE all bottles should be labeled, they do not use microwaves to heat bottles, they discard bottles after 1 hr., see if they set the childs sched- or if each child follows their own individual sched set by mom (I think most daycares do this- but you never know)

Where do you live?
