Daycare teach tip/gift question
Since we're on vacation next week, tomorrow will be DD's last day in her current room at daycare. She'll be in the toddler room when we return after Labor Day.
I got a nice gift for all three of the teachers in her infant room (jewelry), but I wanted to give her primary teacher a tip. Is the equivalent of one week's tuition appropriate? Much more than that would be hard but I want to do the right thing with this. DD goes full time, 5 days a week and is generally there 9 hours a day, if that makes a difference. She's been in that room since the beginning of October 2010.
TIA for any thoughts/advice.

one weeks tuition is very very very generous.
I tip $50 a kid per teacher at christmas and at the end of the year.

Agreed!
I gave $75 for Christmas last year. I don't think I'll do anything for moving rooms other than a small gift.

Word of caution....I would consider can you keep this going every year?
Next year can you give the same gift to the next teacher ?
I gave $100 to each teacher @ christmas. Now I have 2 kids, so I will have to double it which will be tough.
They definitely earn it & deserve it.
