DD falls asleep at feedings
DD will do great when we start off a feeding but then she'll get sleepy and won't want to eat much on the other side. I even change her diaper between sides. But then she'll wake up or be more alert like 15 minutes later and eat a little more...then later maybe a little more. it's making it hard to keep track of when and how much she eats. any suggestions?? anyone else experience this? I feel like she's eating all day long!

Re: DD falls asleep at feedings
I think this is pretty normal for a newborn. DS used to do the same thing. The nurses at the hospital told me to tickle his feet and rub the back of his neck to wake him up. How long are you nursing on the one side? Is it possible she is full?

Re: DD falls asleep at feedings
When I was at the hospital the lactation consultant said to put a wet washcloth on DS face or to rub my finger under his chin - triggers some gag reflex.
