Dealing with crooked home contractors can sometimes be fun
Cost to file Small Claims Case: $20
Cost to process transcript of judgement: $6
Cost to slap crooked contractor with a judgement: $19
Sheriff's Fee: $45 dollars
Extra Sheriff's Fee to serve crooked contractor's bank: $30
Having crooked contractor call you frantically out of the blue after finding out I managed to freeze his bank account: PRICELESS
He must not have realized who he was dealing with. 
So I posted way back I was taking my crooked contractor to court over screwing up my house extension. We agreed through mediation that he would pay me monthly a set amount.
Well he made four out of the 12 payments then stopped paying me. I sent him a courtesy text a week after not getting payment and he claimed "he would pay me when he can... not working currently".
Waited 45 days and said the hell with this, let me slap him with a fat judgement and get the sheriff involved.
Well boy did it feel good to hear him call me a month later all frantic because he found out I froze his bank account.  He was like "why did you do that for... I was gonna pay you". Yea ok.
Still dont know yet if I am getting any money from his bank account. But man was he ****** and upset. LOL Maybe he made a deposit from a new job and then found out the hard way when trying to withdraw.
And he is a big bafoon to boot. Idiot was supposed to pay me via money order as part of the settlement. First two payments were postal money order, but then he got lazy. Last two payments were personal company check. Got his bank and account number from the check. Moron!
Like taking candy from a baby.

I wish that this could be published to every contractor. i am sure that 9 out of 10 of his clients would sit and suck it up!!!!
