I never understood why people don't make another free email address?  I have my own domain, so I have an infinite number of email addresses, but you should at least have a personal email address for friends, and one for more impersonal conversations, ESPECIALLY for a job application!

people are so dumb!!! I mean come on, even if you don't want to use it regularly, come up with a first name last name email address for job application purposes!!!! My old boss once got an applicant whose email address was sexyhotbabe. She sent it around the office it was so funny.

That's actually one of those "helpful tips" they give you now, to use a professional email address. Mine isn't bad, but I still made a new one for my resume!!
I would mention it in the letter, lesson to be learned.

that is as good as the applicant that came into HR one day in a shirt that said PORN STAR and asked to fill out an application.
I actually questioned her dress and she told me its not like I am at the interview or anything????
um.....did you think I would forget you your shirt says porn star
My second favorite was the applicant who checked off that they had committed a crime, - will discuss at interview and put next to it (assault/stabbing)....um yeah, I want to meet with you with my office door closed......
