Dear Self,

what happened? you were so good about going to the gym and eating right- and now you barley get to the gym 3 days a week

what is going on? you could barley lift the poland spring bottle last night- that used to be no problem

you worked so hard and spent all the money on a trainer- to then do this!

please get back into the groove of going to the gym- you look and feel better when you do

signed,
Beth

That's me too! I used be able to eat whatever I wanted and stay at 110-115. I was happy when I hit 120, but now I trying to stay at 125. I am now 130 and hate it!

This has been me too, I've been so good about the gym lately but havent gone since last Thursday, which I think is a record for the last couple of months. If I stop for more than 2 days I always get off track.

I promised myself I'll start again tommorow.

I could have worte this- I think I am 129/130 ( I can't believe I worte that) now- I want to be 122- I was 117 last year at the time- but that was before I started lifting weights-

it might not sound like alot to some people- but i am only 5'2- 1 pound makes a difference!

Re: Dear Self,

When I started weight training I was 116 lbs. within the first year I gained 8 lbs. Now, 10 years later, I still weigh 125 lbs. I know it is all muscle because my waist and thighs never got bigger, just better! My bodyfat percentage dropped dramatically.

Thanks to a propper diet, lifting heavy weights and very little cardio! Chat Icon

Why very little cardio?

Christine, I am trying really hard to follow the diet, but I have to admit, I had mac and cheese on Saturday night.

If I eat something that I shouldn't should I do more cardio to counteract it?

Re: Dear Self,

I got very bulkly when I increased the weights-

I just swicthed back to high reps/low weight

I though cardio was important to not bulk up- burn the fat so it doesn't cover the muscles??? I am confused now

Re: Dear Self,

You don't need to do too much cardio. I did maybe 1 or 2 20 minute cadrio sessions then. now I do maybe 3, maybe. If you eat right you do not need to do as much cardio. If you are looking to lose fat you shouldn't do more that 4 sessions of cardio either. your body gets so used to it that it learns to be more efficient. the key is to do high intensity cardio intervals(hardcore HIIT) and mix it with Steady state cardio. That way you leave your body guessing.

If you are strict with your food intake, you should see a difference in your body from less cardio if you are training with heavy weights for the first time. this IS different for everyone. I can probably count on one hand how many times in ten years that I missed breakfast. I have been pretty strict. Well, that's not true. When I was starting to lift heavy I ate fast food to keep the fat on!

Also, I train with major intensity. My weights go up consistantly. This is a constant challenge for my body which requires a lot of fuel. my metabolism is so much better now than it was in high school, mainly because I eat right, and have about 15 lbs more muscle than back then!

ok, I am rambling!!

I really don't have any cellulite- my legs have always been ok ( my Mom never had any either- genetics I guess)

- but I do lunges and swats- and when I started I noticed a HUGE improvement in the saddle bag area- and my butt got lifted
