DECEMBER MOMMIES-UPDATE HERE!!!

I am 36 wks-due 12/21!

27 more days! I feel as though time is flying! And every weekend, Itry to get more and more done, but have less and less energy..lol

Let's see..nursery is all finished, clothing is washed and ready...felt like such a mommy, with little boy clothes spinning through the cycles..I cried a little...lol

I need to install the car seat base. I am almost finished with x-mas shopping-just a few small things...decorated the house for x-mas, and realized that in no time at all, dh and I will be playing Santa for our baby boy, then cried again..lol

People are always asking if I think i will go late/on-time..etc. i honestly feel great, and I don't think I have dropped at all...so i doubt it will be early, but I guess you never know! Still working and will until the end.

Sleeping is irritating, but just got to that point. I get up like 6 times a night to pee, and feel like an old lady when I try to switch positions...the ughs, and ahhs....pathetic.

How are all of you doing???

Well, according to my countdown, I have 15 days to go!

38 weeks tomorrow and due December 9.

Feeling good, but really have been slowing down over the last week or so. Chasing around my 2 year old DS is getting more and more challenging. Getting up off the floor seems to take me forever, but I am grateful for the fact that I am able to carry this child to full term.

As of last week I am not effaced at all and barely a fingertip dilated. Doctor said that I can expect a quiet and uneventful THanksgiving! I think I will go all the way with this child.... but we will see as anything can change from moment to moment.

I am on vacation this week and the first half of next week. THen I go back to work (working from home) from December 3 until the baby comes.

Other than that, I am going to spend this week straightening up the house to make sure I am really ready. I am still sleeping well at night... something I have ALWAYS been good at and still REFUSING to get up at night to pee. I just end up having to go very badly when I wake up!

I have been starting to get a little swelling in my feet and calves. Hope it doesn't get too much worse in the next couple of weeks. Go back to the OB tomorrow to see if we are making any progress, but I doubt it!

(and I am still bummed that DS will not be allowed to visit me in the hospital due to the new visitor rules. )

I'm 36 1/2 weeks due 12/17.

I had my first internal last week with no progress and I'm going back on Weds for my second one and hoping there is some progress - my belly has definitely dropped over the past week.

I'm feeling pretty good - the commute into NYC is getting a little harder so I've upped my telecommuting days and I found that really helps. I am sleeping well but, I get up frequently.

I got the car seat inspected on Saturday from the local police station. DH and I did a pretty good job getting it in and they just tightened it slightly. I felt good because I was there less than 5 minutes and the people in front of me were there for 30 and then their car died.

I have all of the clothes/sheets/blankets/bedding washed and ready to go.

DH is starting to paint the nursery today(we're a little behind on that). Our furniture is going to be delivered on 12/2.

I can't believe December is only 8 days away!

I am already decorated for xmas too..I did it this weekend so if i do go early I will have my tree up already I know i am sick hahahahha

My last day is december 4th although i am only working today and tomorrow and then i am off for the rest of the week...

My c/s date is December 4th (but my due date is the 13th)..

Anyway- I'm doing OK. As of last week's OB appointment my pressure was going up and I was puffing up in my feet & fingers. So I had to do a 24 hour urine collection to check for toxemia (fun) that I dropped off this AM.

As of last week my doc said the baby was big- the head/stomach measuring 39 weeks already- thank god I'm having another c/s.

As for the nursery- everything is done except the art isn't up on the wall... I need to get a few frames 'cause I wanted to do a collage of my DD's finger paints above the changer... I'll need to get to target.

Tomorrow I have a peri appointment to switch from lovenox to heparin. I've already been off the baby asprin for about 2 weeks

Furniture is coming tomorrow. Will probably install the car seat this weekend.

My belly has dropped a little and I am going for my first internal Wednesday. I feel a lot of pressure and sharp pains when I walk. movements hurt a lot now too.

Sleeping is hard, I just cant get comfortable and I am always hot. Fortunately I only wake up once to pee, but I just cant fall back asleep and wind up on the couch for the rest of the night.

I have 2 more shifts to work at the hospital this week and then I am on vacation next week. Dont know yet if I will go back when I am 38 weeks, have to see how I feel.

Just cant believe is almost here.

Due in 15 days!!! Today is my first day of vacation, which I'll be on for the next two weeks and then my maternity leave will kick in. After my escapade at L&D two weeks ago I learned that I was 75% effaced and 2 fingertips dilated. I am not sure if that has progressed since then. BH contractions are in FULL force and some are accompnanied by mild menstrual-like cramping. My ankles no longer exist and my feet are so ugly and fat that DH and I just stare at them and laugh. I've been very tired lately, even though I'm sleeping about 7-9 hours a night (not continuous but still). is not moving around as much as a couple weeks ago...but he/she is still there, doing well. I want someone to invent a Labor Predictor system. This suspense is killing me.... Our month is almost here ladies....Crazy!!!

Hi! I am 36 1/2 weeks. Had an internal, head is "high" and I might be softening. So nothing I guess. I am barely sleeping and just can't get comfortable (I too grunt constantly so pathetic). I feel alot of pressure especially at night. I just stopped working so I hope I can get alot done. I'm getting the car seat installed today. Does that cost money? I can't figure it out.

Hey ladies. Well i WAS due December 4th but my little girl decided to come last wednesday at 37 1/2 weeks! oh, and by the way - I had NO progress signs besides suddenly contracting and it being very painful. Even after I was in the hospital and had a few hours of these contractions I was still NOT dilated! They were telling me I wasnt even in labor... then all of a sudden I was 1 centermeter... then two hours later, I was 2.... then two hours after that I was 4! So I went from 0-4 in five hours...after almost 12 hours contracting. So... anything can happen!!! They told me they would have sent me home but bc I was also sick they had to keep me - good thing they did bc once I started dilating, I keep going fast. Good luck ladies!!

Im 35 weeks (due dec. 27th) and im feeling pretty good still just really tired from teaching all day every week...DH had a dream that i will have my baby in 2 weeks so he's convinced that im going to have early but we will see. I havent had any internals or anything yet so im not sure if there is any progress yet but i doubt it..i just cant wait!

I have my first internal tomorow...Ill be 1 day shy of 36 weeks.
Something has definietly been going on, I dont know if its the baby moving down or any other progress, but hopefully we'll find out tomorrow and ill update again

ETA: I had my first internal today and I am 1cm dialated!!! Hopefully things keep progressing and we will be home in time for Christmas.

I'm due 12/25 so i'm 35.5 weeks. I have GD so I'm monitored weekly. Last Thurs, the baby was measuring 6lbs 13oz - 95th percentile!!! starting to get very nervous about delivery... i go back this wed for another sono and i have my first internal so we'll see if there is any action. hopefully he comes early and doesn't turn out to be a 10lber!!!

the nursery is done, car seats installed, almost done with my labor and hospital bags. have breastfeeding class tomorrow night. i still have some assembling to do but i'm otherwise ready.

i've been having a lot of pressure and shooting pain down below so i hope that means things are happening. i'm having a tough time getting comfortable, esp at night and am very tired. i am done with work and just trying to relax and enjoy the quiet time as much as possible.

I only have SEVEN DAYS LEFT!!! Due one week from tomorrow and tonight I have been having braxton hicks all night....I think she wants to make an entrance sooner then later.

Last week my exam went well....my cervix is thinning...i started to dilate and her head was low and in position.

Maybe i will have a TURKEY BABY!!

I am due on 12/5 with our first - only 10 days to go!!!

I am doing okay. I was doing great until the baby dropped and now I'm definitely uncomfortable. Standing up/turning over in bed/bending down to pick something up all makes me feel like I'm 90! NOT fun! Sleeping also sux, but I know we're all in the same boat there!!

I had a bit of a scare last week so spent the night in L&D where I had my first internal but NADA.

BH's are very frequent and getting stronger and more intense. I also have the period-cramps thing going on.

The nursery is almost done. I've started to put together my hospital bag and get all the baby's stuff washed. I know - talk about last minute, but it's all been a little out of my control!

My update...
went to the doctor last night, I was having cramping all day long around my lower stomach to my back and for the past two weeks A LOT of pressure down there, I thought there would be some progress but nothing. Wow, did that internal hurt! I hope the baby comes sooner so I dont have to have too many more of those!
I had to start my heparin last night too for my blood clotting disorder (just found out about it)

The nursery will be done this weekend finally!!!! Im so excited to get the room set up and all the stuff from the shower put away

Here is my update, posted under another thread asking for positive vibes...

Today, I am 35w5d. I have been in and out of Good Sam over the last two weeks: getting steroid shots for DD's lungs, monitoring high BP, getting shots to stop contractions, etc. Needless to say, it's getting old. I have been on bedrest for a few weeks; doing my best to keep the LO cooking for as long as possible so that maybe she won't have to spend time in the NICU like DD#1 did. As of Sunday, DD is still breech so when it is showtime, I will more than likely be having a c-section.

So, I have an OB appt at 1pm today. I am hoping that my NST doesn't show a problem with DD's HR, me having consistant contractions or that my BP is high again. I just want everything to be okay, be able to come home and enjoy Turkey Day tomorrow with DH, all of the kids and the family.

I guess I'm asking for you guys to send me some positive vibes that all will go well at my OB appt. And if I have to go into the hospital again today, that I will be able to deliver a healthy baby girl.

Due 12/21- At the doctor's appointment at 36 weeks, she said I was about 1cm dilated and thinks I will go a week, maybe 2 weeks early...

Not sure if the baby dropped yet. She has always sat low in my belly. How do you tell? Is the drop all of a sudden or can it happen slowly?

Can't wait for her to come out!!

Hi all! I am 35 weeks, due 12/30. I go for an appointment tomorrow and am scared to find out if it will be my first internal. Are they worse than the regular old pre-pregnancy doctor's visits??

I still feel pretty good. On Sunday I spent the day reupholstering my dining room chairs and was on the floor all day, yanking and stapling etc, which barely bothered me. And my belly doesn't seem as big as I thought it would be at this point. I feel like I'm not as pregnant as I should be (could they have made a mistake with my due date??!) Although...I have found myself walking a lot slower, and stairs have certainly become my enemy. And it's impossible to find a comfortable position on the couch.

I'm becomming increasingly anxious about the way I've handled this pregnancy. I hope I've done everything right. I haven't been perfect but I think I did ok. No point in worrying about that now, I guess. I just wish I could just take a peek inside and see how he's doing. I'm not due for any more sonos but maybe I can convince them to let me have one more...
