Re: DECEMBER MOMMIES-UPDATE HERE!!!

I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow. Had two internals and am now 1 cm dialated. Cervix is soft and DS is at -3. I had a false alarm yesterday am. I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid. I was ready to go through labor and was disappointed. I've decided I'm going to try to give birth without any meds. I know things can change in an instant during labor but I do want to try and avoid an epi as much as I can.

This weekend DH is putting together the bassinet, car bases being put in, glider and ottoman being done. I have to put stuff away in the nursery closet. I decided on the take home outfits. My last day of work is on Monday and after that my mom will come over and help me finish with the decorating and so on.

I'm doing pretty good overall. Turning in bed gets uncomfortable and is such a process. I'm definitely moving slower than usual. My hands are always swollen and my calves and feet get really bad by the end of the day. At least the swelling goes down by the next am. I am definitely feeling small contractions. They just feel like little period cramps. I'm drinking alot more water and going to the bathroom constantly. I don't want to go into labor b/c I'm dehydrated.

I'm at 14 days.

I'll be 36 weeks Friday. Just got back from my 36 week appt. Baby is head down and ready to go. Cervix closed. Not shocking. What is shocking is that the baby is measuring at 6lbs 3oz already. I'm only 35w5d....AHHHHHHHHHHH. My kid (former nickname) has a new nickname: Whopper lol.

I've been feeling a lot of pressure down there lately but its par for the course. Intense back pain but its par for the course too. Go back to the dr on Monday. I can't believe how fast this is going!!!
