** DECORATING HELP NEEDED, Please =)

We bought our house in October and I am still living with bare unpainted walls and old furniture because Im afraid to take the step to decorate our bedroom!!

I found a headboard that I think I love ... HEADBOARD ... please tell me what you think

with the bedding below:

and the following paint with accent wall (That is not our bedroom but we have installed white crown moulding to try and achieve the same effect)

Then, I thought I would get bamboo roman shades and nice silky drapes either in creme or the right shade of green.

What do you think of this overall look? I wanted simple, clean, and vacationy w/o going overboard with the theme. I have bought and returned so many items for this space that I am unable to make a decision at this point! LOL

i like your the selections you made. the only items that i would reconsider for the look/mood you are trying to achieve is the paint and window treatments.

i would opt for a paint color similar to the one shown with the PB duvet and either cotton, linen or sheer panels.

Love all your ideas. Beautiful comforter. Love the bamboo shade idea, but maybe you want to go a little lighter with the curtains. Something sheer and light looking. You don't want to make the room feel to dark if you used silk curtains. Love both colors of paint. I guess it all depends on how much light you have coming into your room. GL and go for it!

ok, as promised, I took a look! Would you be keeping your current bedframe with the headboard? If so, I don't know how I feel about that..

The linens are pretty and I agree about the sheers..some of the ones pictured above are great...I have the new Real Simple magazine and there's an article about decorating with the color green..I'd share it with you!! Your choices are great and you are picking a neutral enough paint where, with a few accessories, you can always change things enough so you don't get bored..good job!
