Deleting this post
Hey girls, Im deleting this post. I dont think I should be on the TTC boards because it is upsetting to some peple. I'm sorry about that! I didnt mean to upset anyone, I just wanted to share my joke. I'll post on the PG boards from now on.
But I hope I'm not offending anyone by responding to existing posts on TTC. I know more about TTC than I do about PG and I want to help you guys. Kathy
Sorry again if I offended anyone with my sono...

Maybe you could find a Turtle custume and dress him up then share the news...if not, make sure you aren't on your back.

Re: Deleting this post
I love Kathy and her updates and will continue to watch her progress on the pregnancy board, but I do agree that sonograms, etc. are more appropriate posted on Pregnancy than TTC.
People have been BLASTED in the past for doing the very same thing (announcing or discussing their pregnancy on the TTC boards) and we should hold everyone to the same standards and not give some people leeway and others cr@p.
I've been guilty of it, and while I responded to Kathy's posts, there was a little voice in the back of my head saying, "If this was someone else, someone I didn't like or didn't post regularly, would I still think this was okay?"
While I didn't personally ask Kathy to pull the post down, I think it was the right thing to do and commend her for doing in and being sensitive about it.

Re: Deleting this post
Just to clarify, I posted my sonogram picture here because there was a post directed AT me wishing me luck and asking how it went.
Otherwise I would have posted only on PG.
Also, I do not plan on changing my avatar because I worked very hard to get that avatar...and since that is offending people I am sorry for that too, but I dont think its fair that I change it.
The "joke" I posted was that my sono picture looked like a turtle....and the PG ladies would not have 'gotten' the joke because YOU ALL on the TTC board are the girls who know the tutle story...so I felt that you were the ones to share it with.
I am now removing my sono picture from the post entitled "kelleherkm".

Im sorry I totally disagree with this- When did someone get blasted for announcing their pregnancy? and why is it not ok for someone that shared so much with us to post on here on her progress? I dont go on the pregnancy board much, I am always on here, so to hear about a fellow TTC that helped us so much and has so much wisdom for us wants to share her joy and pictures with us, cant?

Blasting has happened a bunch of times in recent memory.
I completely understand your point and think that Kathy's continuing support of the rest of us TTC-er's is great. I know she will continue to provide that support and share her knowledge and experience with us. I don't think anyone is saying she should never post on TTC again - who else can show us night vision HPTs?!?!
Obviously some people are feeling uncomfortable with having her updates posted here and we should be sensitive to that instead of making them feel even more uncomfortable.
Is it really that much harder to click on the pregnancy board and see the progress info there? I know I check in there all the time to see Flee, Shana and Kathy's progress along with all the others.

I totally agree. And I am SURE Kathy will be more than happy to post on the PG board, but I did wish her luck on this board. Remember, this is very new for her and she is still transitioning to her new identity (the PG one that is).
Lots of love Kathy, and I am going to search everywhere for your pic (even though I got to see it first hand- yeah me!!)

No its not hard to click on the pregnancy board, I just find this discussion really ridicoulous (sp), and No I dont remember anyone blasting someone for posting they were pregnant. And I wonder if the same people who feel "uncomfortable" are the same ones who asked or used her advice or are just plain jealous! I mean come on people- ladies- is it really that big of a deal that she posted her sonogram on here- AND if you read the thread WE ASKED HER FOR PICS!!!!!!
edited to say- I am really disappointed in this board-

Re: Deleting this post
I feel i need to chime in here. I feel what people find "offensive" on any type of message board is just that as girlygirl said riduculous-sp. A message board is like tv, you don't like the content change the channel. Kathy, I am sure didn't mean to offend anyone, and I did read posts asking for her progress with many replies.
I myself remember being blasted on this board when I didn't frequent the board for awhile and came back to announce my first pg, sadly i m/c'd a week later, but I was blasted because I told a story how my dr told me to relax and not to stress about TTC and how upset I was he said that. I was soo upset by that post I asked ron & liz to remove it. People on this board ripped into me. Leighla has a point though too, everyone should be treated the same, but in the real world that never happens.
Not a person who posts or lurks on these boards should ever feel like they can't post something. Aren't we all here to support each other, give advice, no matter what? We are all adults, something offends you move on. I am sure some people may be offended by cervical mucus talk and cervical position, vaginal colors.
Can't we just get along?

Re: Deleting this post
I know both sides of this, and just need to remind people that we need some consideration on both sides of the coin. Its hard to become newly pregnant and transition over to a new board and make all new friends after spending a year over here and at the same time seeing sono's and prego all the time for someone who is still on that year long struggle is also hard. I think its nice that we all try to look out for each others feelings like this. Kathy, all in all, I hope you know that every single person on this board is ECSTATIC for you. You had your struggles and you prevailed. You are the perfect reminder that it can happen, even if you are having a hard time.

Re: Deleting this post
I'm only seeing this now. It was my first day back teaching so I miss all of the commotion.
I guess I can understand both sides of it but honestly, I could never be offended by the post. I don't think that thought would have entered my mind.
I, too, have benefitted from Kathy's experience on the subject and would never want her to leave this board (I was just hoping the other day that you would still stay on). As for blasting people and people being blasted I think that's childish, immature and, yes, reeks of jealousy. What are we still on the playground? Aren't we adults.
Oh, and Kathy I completely agree with you about your avatar... do not change that!!! You did work so hard for it and it's a blessing, something we all hope to aspire to. You should not feel as though you have to tip-toe around here.

Exactly how I feel !!!! I agree with Michele and Girlygirl as well. We work so hard to get pregnant we should be able to rejoice with the people we have grown to care about on these boards. TTC is a process, we try, we conceive, we get pregnant and unfortunately some of us even miscarry. How can you separate us into categories ? We are people who have share a lot together. Kathy, I personally loved seeing your sono picture and thought your joke was actually something that would inspire the girls on here. I hope you continue to post on here....you are a huge part of this board!!!!
