Delivery Room Tunes
What would you like to see on an IPOD playlist?

Re: Delivery Room Tunes
I was just thinking about this today on the train as I was listening to my IPOD. I want to make a playlist for the hospital but I don't know if I want upbeat or relaxing.....so I'm no help.
What did you feel like for your first? Would you have wanted relaxing music to keep you calm or something distracting (upbeat) to get you in a good mood??

Re: Delivery Room Tunes
the reality for me is that there probably won't be too much time for music given how short my labor was the first time.
but i have actually been thinking about this anyway, and was thinking of making a mix for myself just in case. i'm thinking more upbeat stuff to get me pumped up rather than relaxing

Re: Delivery Room Tunes
I've been thinking about this a lot and I've made a Motown Mix which is fun and then a really relaxing mix with DMB and some other chill out songs

Re: Delivery Room Tunes
Luckily my Dr has the same taste in music, and she & her associate both bring their IPODS and speakers into the delivery/surgery room.

I just did a mix of all my favorite- mostly mellow stuff though. But also very girl related- like Isn't she Lovely, She's Living Inside my Heart, etc.
But this time I was just updating my IPOD delivery tunes and looking for some new suggestions.

Re: Delivery Room Tunes
i've been telling dh that i want to be pushing out to the iron man theme song. it just seems like it'd flow well.
other than that i'm thinking some some mellow stuff and things i know the words to so i can sing along and distract myself.

Re: Delivery Room Tunes
There is this song that I love and is so appropriate for the delivery room. It is by Ingrid Michelson called Keep Breathing ( I think that it the title) So good and mellow!
