Dental Work During 2WW
I had 3 old cavities re-filled while I was in the 2WW.
They drilled them down and filled them with silver filling. I didn't get any novacaine because they were just "fixing" some older fillings that had worn down / eroded.
Do you think this is something I should mention to my Dr at my 1st appointment tomorrow?

Re: Dental Work During 2WW
You can certainly mention it if that would make you feel more comfortable. I have had much dental work done during this pregnancy, including a root canal, and my OB sait it was perfectly fine and even wrote my dentist and endodontist each a note giving approval. The only thing they say is no epinepherin b/c it makes the baby's heart race, but they have novicaine w/uot epinepherin that you can have. It just does not last as long.

Re: Dental Work During 2WW
I went to my dentist recently and just told him I was expecting (of course he could tell!).
I think as long as you tell your dentist, they will know how to handle you.
Luckily, I was on there for a cleaning. They didn't take x-rays, although my OB said a couple of dental x-rays were fine to take.

Re: Dental Work During 2WW
I had x-rays a week before my BFP. We weren't trying so I had no idea it was bad... My OB said not to worry. I am now almost 30 weeks and all is well.
