Re: Dental Work while pregnant
I have had cleanings, bleed more then while I was not pregnant but that is normal. I would not wait to have a filling done. What do you need?

Re: Dental Work while pregnant
No advisable during the 1st trimester. 2nd trimester is better. I postponned it and I have a huge toothache the day I found I was PG. You can do it but if you can hold off it's best.
In short, I was told if you need it do it but if you can wait it's better.

Re: Dental Work while pregnant
Thanks. Because I neglected my teeth while pregnant with DD and because I have been BF her since - 26mths I have ran into some trouble with one of my teeth - I may need an implant or a bridge - there is a slight possibibility that orthodonthic (sp) work might fill in the gap by moving my teeth together and that would be non invasive but I wont know until I have my consultation with the orthodontist - which isnt until 3 more weeks!
I really need to start ttc#2 but keep putting it off as I am afraid of all this dental work that I may have to have done.

Re: Dental Work while pregnant
I had a cleaning when I was 6 weeks. My dentist won't do any more than a cleaning without a release from my OB.

Re: Dental Work while pregnant
I had a molar crack on me when I was pregnant and my dentist would not do anything until I had the baby. They will try to avoid it if they can.
