Re: Devastated - Therapist and Perinatologist Recommendations?
I am so sorry for your loss.
I would recommend Dr. Kofinas also, he is a little rough around the edges but an EXCELLENT doctor.

Re: Devastated - Therapist and Perinatologist Recommendations?
I just want to say I am so sorry for your losses. I understand what you are going through as I also had a clotting disorder, 2 mcs, and when on to have a third and successful pregnancy with the help of a hematologist and the drug lovenox.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I dealt with multiple early losses aso I know the feeling. Take care of yourself.
Dr Kofinas gets lots of rave reviews. You may want to start out seeing an IF doc. Try Dr Braverman

Re: Devastated - Therapist and Perinatologist Recommendations?
i am so very sorry for your loss
your story sounds similar to mine
i delivered my baby at 16 weeks and we didn't know why. nothing was ever tested , i then went on to have 2 more losses. so i seeked a IF doctor and i had my twins via IVF. but turns out i had a blood clotting disorder, many of them at that! so it was probably the reason for all the losses.
i saw Dr. Kofinas as my high risk.. he is simply amazing! best peri out there. you will be in wonderful hands, that i am sure of!
if you need to talk, please don't hesitate to FM me.

I am so sorry for loss
I don't know any Dr.s to recommend but I know my Doctor had me sent for genetic testing to see if I had Thrombofilia which is a blood clotting disorder that can cause miscarriage. He had me on a daily baby aspirin.
It does get better

I saw a mc therapist. Her name is Nancy Berlow.
And the peri I was recommended was Dr Kofinas. But I couldn't go see him bc he didn't take my ins.
After that I went to Dr Braverman and now I'm under Dr goldstein's care. Neither are peri's. But they are both great dr's.
I was going to mention Nancy Berlow to you as well. She is affilitated with North Shore. I had friends that saw her and really liked her. Also, there is an intense bereavement group offered at North Shore that is every continuing week for 8 weeks. This group was soooo helpful to me after the loss of my son. It was wonderful and my husband and I really bonded with the other participants. My group leader was named Ivy Diamond and she was great as well. If interested, I can give you more info.
Can you send me the info on the bereavement group?? Thank you!!!

I think Nancy Berlow runs the bereavement group - you can contact her at (516) 356-7109.
Good luck and I'm so sorry for your loss!

Re: Devastated - Therapist and Perinatologist Recommendations?
I spoke to Trisha Billard and made an appt with her yesterday 10/23/20. She stated she could see me in person. We talked about 15 minutes and also discussed meditation. Stated we could do talk therapy as well as implementing somatic therapy. I was so happy after calling so many therapists finally someone was available. Then she sends me a text message asking me to send her my email address. I do and today 10/24/20 she called and canceled on me. Saying she CANNOT see me!! I am devastated because I thought to myself my search ended there. On the phone she sounded compassionate just like you said. To receive that phone call was the worst. I reached out because I need help and then she says she spoke to soon. Her schedule is too busy. I was going to pay her cash too. Really disappointed. How do you break your word? Said looking forward in meeting you, scheduled a time and asked me to fill out information online. Completely did a 180 on me. Not professional at all and not cool to do that.
