Diaper Champ----Question for those who have/had them....
We currently have a regular small garbage pail w/ cover in DS room for pee-pee diapers (Poopies go to kitchen pail as it get's emptied quicker). However I am noticing even if I change the garbage can in his room every other day it still stinks awfuflly when I open it!
I am considering getting the Diaper Champ but want to know if it contains the odor until you change the bag.

We've never had an issue with the smell. Even in this heat. And we put all the diapers in there.

I stopped putting poopy diapers in there at 3 or 4 months old. But it contained the smells great untill I went to empty it.

I love my Diaper Champ. No smell at all! I change the bag when it's full and spray lysol inside.

I loved the diaper champ until she started eating solids. Then, there was NO containing the smell. So I bought those individual diaper bags in BRU that have a baby powder smell and bag all the poopy diapers in there, then throw in a bigger bag that all goes to the trash at night.

We have those for the diaper bag and OMG, they smell so strong, the room literally smells of baby powder after we are in it. Too bad they dont sell THOSE as garbage bag sized, or we wold never have a smell.

I have it too... I don't smell anything until we open it up to change the bag. Then it is pretty awful!!!

That's what I did. I can say once the onset of meat mixture baby food - the smell of poop diapers were no longer contained but before that it worked well and I plan on using it again for baby #2.
