Do you pack a diaper bag too? or just a hospital bag for both you and the baby?
I think I'm nesting or something... cause I'm overorganizing today! LOL

Great question though - I would think two seperate bags - one for you - one for the baby!

you only need a going home outfit for the baby. They will wear a shirt from the hospital while they are in the hospital. They give you diapers and even formula.

I have a L&D bag packed with all the stuff for labor (relaxation things, snacks for DH, mouthwash, etc.) and my regular hospital bag packed for the overnight stays (also the Boppy and a pillow). Then I have a plastic bag put to the side for DH to bring on the day to go home with mine and the baby's going home outfits. My hospital suggested this way to pack.

I didn't pack a diaper bag. They provided all of the diaper changing necessities. I just needed a coming home outfit.
One recommendation that we took from a friend: STEAL THE CHUX PADS!!!
We took Chux pads and used them on top of our changing pad in case we had a messy diaper. They are great!!

I have two bags.
One for me and all of the things I'll need for a vaginal delivery.
DH will bring the one for the babies... going home outfits, etc. the day we leave.
In case I have a c-section I have more supplies lined up so DH can just bring those.
The Chux pads are great. My BF works in a hospital and brought me several bundles when she came for my shower.
They put them underneath you in case of heavy bleeding or other issues and they absorb the liquid. They are also excellent for the changing table. Image Attachment(s):

i was such a procrastinator that I didnt pack the bag until the dr told me to go to the hosptial, and even so, i was already scheduled for an induction the following day, so I dont know what i was waiting for!!!
I begged my mom to take me to CVS before DH got home from work to take me to the hospital to buy some pads, magazines and stuff to keep myself occupied
I only packed for myself and DH brought the carseat and going home outfit the day before we were released from the hospital.

I had three bags. One for before the birth for me, one for after, and the baby's stuff packed in the diaper bag. I put her going home outfit, receiving blanket, onesie, hat, and heavier blanket (she was born in Jan.)
