Diaper Pails/Trash Cans - Are you getting one?
Which diaper pai/trash can are you getting? Do they really work with odor?
DH thinks it's unnecessary because he takes out the garbage pretty much everyday. I was thinking of just throwing one on the registry anyways.

I got one that we used in the early days.
You go through SO many diapers and you always have the baby in your arms and it isn't always convenient to go to the trashcan in another part of the house.
And you don't want to leave a stinky diaper in the baby's room.
Once he got bigger and there were fewer diapers and they were less stinky, we just through them in the bathroom garbage or the kitchen garbage.
ETA: I used the Diaper Depot and was happy.

I just used the blue powder scented poo diaper garbage bags. If there's a poo diaper, just wrap it up and toss it out.
I don't toss any diapers in her room though.

I registered for the Diaper Genie II.....i've heard great things about it and plan on using it in their nursery. When we change diapers they will probably go right out in a poop bag into the garage.just like our dogs lol..we live in a developmenta nd take garbage to the dumpster daily...

We didn't use one with DD #1 and didn't miss it either. Same as you---we took the garbage out daily. No big deal.

I got the diaper champ with dd.. it was okay, but kept jamming up when you did the flip thing to drop the diaper. We only used for the first couple of months b/c of soo many diapers.. but once they started getting stinker, we just tossed in one of those shopping bags and put outside right away.

We have the Diaper Champ. I like it because it uses regular garbage bags.

I got the Diaper Genie 2 it's set up in the bathroom next to the regular trash can, we'll see how it works out...

we have the diaper champ... it uses regular bags... i love it and think it works great- we only put pee diapers in it though and the poop diapers go right into the kitchen trash when gets taken out every day...

we got a diaper genie even though everyone told us we wouldnt use it. I swore I would. We used it for the first couple of weeks but whenyou change it , the smell of all the old diapers is disgusting  . I had to make DH change it and I would still smell it and gag.
We stopped using it.
