Whaaaat we get a check??!!
We hadn't been in our house a year yet last year which is why I'm assuming we didn't get one but do we really get a star rebate check??!!
p.s. that link didn't work, how does everyone know when there's are mailed???

its not a link..you have to copy and paste it.
you can go to ny tax state home
http://www.tax.state.ny.us/
then browse to star 2008 information
http://www.tax.state.ny.us/star/2008/default.htm
you probally have to apply as if you lved there less then a year, you aren't enrolled in star yet...depending on when you moved in.

you probally have to apply as if you lved there less then a year, you aren't enrolled in star yet...depending on when you moved in.
Last year I'm assuming we didn't get it b/c we had just enrolled. We have lived in our house for over a year now and enrolled the week we actually moved in.
I googled and found the link, I had tried to C&P from here but the link was giving me an error.

I went to that link and put in my all my info. My check was supposted to be mailed out on the 6th of October. We still haven't gotten it yet.

You most likely did get one last year if you got a check this year. You did not have to reapply for it this year. This is a rebate in addition to what you already receive on your taxes.
I had to apply for it this year because we closed on our house in 2007, so we were not eligible for it last year.
Thank you. But I mean "physically" get it, get the check in my hands. I have a mailman who is notorious for delivering the wrong mail and let's just say I have a neighbor whom I suspect would not be so polite if he got my mail...so I have to check to make sure somehow that I got all checks in previous years.
If you go to the NY Stated Tax website, there's aplce you can punchin your location and they'll tell you about how much and when.
